Massage Therapy
Our therapists offering massage are all registered and in good standing with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO). We use a Swedish Massage technique with a rehabilitative, biofeedback approach. Depending on our clients’ needs, we use varying levels of pressure and methods of applying that pressure. Please be sure to speak to your therapist if there is ever a concern for a specific area or pain intolerance. Although pain is a valuable message in the rehabilitative process, it is truly a subjective experience. Massage therapy appointments are available in 15-30-45-60 and 90-minute increments.

Osteopathic Manual Therapy
Osteopathy is a non-invasive form of manual therapy incorporating manipulation of muscles and joints (similar to chiropractic and physiotherapy), influencing interrelated systems to facilitate the body’s natural healing and regulating mechanisms. Founded initially in the 1870s by Andrew Taylor Still, an American physician and surgeon, Still viewed the body as having the natural ability to heal and regulate when functioning effectively. According to the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy, “Osteopathy is a science, a philosophy, and a practice.”
The practice of Osteopathy has continued to evolve as it is informed by experience and ongoing research. It is now recognized by the World Health Organization and other international bodies as a complementary therapy alongside traditional medicine. At our clinic we treat dysfunctions in all age groups, ranging from infants that are a few weeks old, to children, teens, and of course adults.

Reflexology
Our Foot Reflexology treatments offer clients the opportunity to lay back and relax on a comfortable massage bed. With precision and care, the reflexologist works through the pressure points in each foot in addition to massaging the lower legs. The treatment is both relaxing and stimulating, as it opens up energetic nerve pathways and blood vessels in the lower extremities. Foot Reflexology is known to address psycho-somatic issues such as pain management, sleep, anxiety, depression, and fatigue. It is an appropriate treatment for all ages. For more on this type of therapy, visit our blog post which goes into more detail.

Remedial Exercise Sessions
Remedial Exercise Sessions are conducted with a Registered Massage Therapist and are similar to physiotherapy, but they include a short massage to loosen specific trouble spots. They are ideal for those with traumatic or over-use injuries as well as stiffness and pain from under-utilized areas. These sessions are helpful for accountability and commitment to the therapy routine. The hands-on massage component aids the body’s movement patterns and enhances the lasting value of the remedial exercise movements.
What to expect:
- Intake appointment, including a general wellness awareness survey
- Functional physical assessment
- Creation of remedial exercise plan
