Although we love our light-hearted and friendly connection with clients, we must insist on the following:
Cancellation/Late Policy
Unless provided with at least 24hrs notice, last-minute cancellations will result in the billing of the client account for the full appointment cost. We understand that life happens, but we also need to ensure the smooth operation of the business for the benefit of all clients and staff. If you have questions or concerns regarding this policy, please speak with your therapist.
Late arrivals will be charged the full appointment fee while the treatment will only last for the remaining time left in that time-slot. If a client is running late and we do not hear from them within the first 15mins of their appointment, the appointment will be considered cancelled and the full amount charged to the account.
Professional Practice
It is our duty to protect our clients and we do so by receiving consent for manual therapy, including specialized consent for sensitive areas. Please also be aware that we are regulated professionals with a Duty to Report should we suspect physical or sexual abuse. You have our assurance that we will at all times act in the interests of our clients and with the highest standards of professionalism.
Administration
As your healthcare provider, you can be assured that your privacy and confidentiality are of utmost importance to our office. We keep detailed records to which you are entitled should you ever need access. Financial transactions follow a strict industry protocol, including the release of information.
Human Rights
Our office subscribes to a zero-tolerance policy regarding violence, discrimination, and harassment. We implement inclusionary measures wherever possible for accessibility and organizational responsibility. We believe in the ethical treatment of all persons – employees, colleagues, and clients.
The above policies are instituted and informed by the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario as well as the Ontario Human Rights Commission’s anti-discrimination policies.
